I spent a couple of days working on the BioDiesel Bus tour.
Helped convert a new bus to biodiesel, and taught stick welding off of bus start
er batteries. 8/7/08.
Camped at Orian Welling's house for a few days. 8/5/08.
Learned to gas weld aluminum at Oshkosh! 7/31/08.
Went to OshKosh, a huge homemade airplane show in Wisconsin. Got to tour the Goodyear Blimp. 7/30/08.
Paddled rapids on the Sauk & Mississippi rivers in Minnesota. 7/28/08.
I continue to explore firearms, this time in New Hampshire. I fire a Glock 9mm
and an AR-15.
I think shooting guns like this is basically the same as bowling, only faster.

Current TV liked my instructable on how to make a homemade welder from junked microwaves so much, they flew me to California to film a how-to episode for their channel. 7/11/08.
I became a silicone molding/casting ninja in a day, at Instructables!
I made a cast of my hand to put over a stick shifter knob.
Now, to shift gears, the driver grabs this lifelike cast of my hand. And my hand appears to be reaching up out of the truck's floor! 7/10/08
I got a new lens for my camera. 50mm, f/1.8. The depth of field is magical. 7/

On the way to a wedding in Wisconsin, I fell asleep into a light dream on the Amtrak platform, waiting for a train.
When I woke, this coyote was staring at me, and approached if I ever took my eyes off it. My first reflex was to snap this photo. 6/28/08.
I learned how to skin a roadkill Possum with the help of the book "Wild Woods Wisdom" and Tim Anderson, in San Francisco. 6/27/08.
Lifelike noisemaking stuffed animals make the best bike horns. I found this duck in a "dog toys" bin, and immediately lashed it to my handlebars. 6/25/08.
I solo traveled through Brazil for a few weeks, stopping in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. 6/3/08.
