I went to Cambridge's Teslathon 2008. These tesla coils were unbelievably loud. 10/26/08.


I visited friends at Cambridge and went to a Formal at Emmanuel College, there.
I'm wearing my tEp flightsuit under a "jacket gown". Technically, I'm wearing the official formalwear of my "college" at MIT. 10/25/08.


I travel to Cambridge, the "MIT of England". 10/23/08.


I traveled to Oxford, England, and began my many-months journey across Europe! 10/22/08.


Took the free trimaran, Solara, out for a cruise. 10/17/08.
I welded the mast rungs over a year ago, and this is my first time climbing them.


I made a rough pair of infrared-blasting anti paparazzi sunglasses. 10/16/08.


Experimented with recycling plastic in my own kitchen, and made this cool polyethylene wheel. 10/13/08.


Learned some basic car repair, replaced the tierod in this Suzuki sidekick, and learned to how to align wheels. 10/10/08.


Longboarded at Ho'okipa with Rachel Darman, then learned to windsurf at Kanaha. 10/7/08.


Made anti-diabetes flour and anti-diabetes syrup out of kiawe (mesquite) pods rich in galactomannan, which inhibits sugar uptake. 10/4/08.


Tim and I went boogie boarding in huge waves at Ho'okipa, with goggles to look at the fish and turtles in between sets.
It's the most wipeout-proof thing to do in big waves. 10/2/08.


Harvested bamboo to build a Marshallese-inspired sailing canoe. 9/20/08.


Tim and I hiked around the crater of Haleakala, on Maui. 9/20/08.


Enjoyed the delicious taste of fresh sugar cane. 9/19/08.


Returned home to Maui, shown here eating fresh guavas in the ʻĪao stream. 9/11/08.


Went "soaring" near Mt. Shasta, in a glider. 9/6/08


Skinned a roadkill badger at Burning Man 2008. The meat tastes like rich, greasy beef. 8/28/08.


I dropped out of school and moved out of Cambridge. 8/22/08.
